Fleischl von Marxow, Ernst (1846 - 1891)


 
Austrian physiologist

Fleischl of Marxow first studied mathematics, physics and chemistry, then medicine at the universities of Vienna and Leipzig. He dealt with circulation problems and contributed to the physical and physiological optics. He designed several instruments, improved the 1872 developed by Gabriel Lippmann capillary electrometer and invented the Haemometers. He reported on the World Exhibition in Philadelphia in 1876.
