1910 Berlin Habilitation at the TH Berlin
1911 Dresden Appointment to the TH Dresden as professor and director of the institute for light-current engineering
1915 - 1918 Kiel Work in the laboratory of "inspection of torpedo and mine engineering" in Kiel
1917 Discovery of the "Barkhausen effect" and the "Barkhausen-Kurz oscillations"
1918 Dresden Return to the TH Dresden, Appointment as full professor
