Precursor of the technical education in Guipúzcoa (Spain). He designed several educative programs with a strong relationship with the local industries. He organized and created the Escuela de Artes y Oficios de San Sebastián being its first director. Since 1881 he worked for the patents inspection in Guipúzcoa. That way, he gained a deep understanding of the needs of the surrounding industry. In 1886 he proposed the creation of the Escuela de Artes y Oficios de Eibar, which was constructed in 1902. He published several manuals regarding the subjects he taught such as algebra, mechanics and machines . He died in San Sebastían, Spain in 1928.
