Emilio de la Cuadra I Albiol was an entrepreneur and a lieutenant borned in Sueca, Valencia Spain in 1859. He built an hydroelectric in Lérida, Spain and founded the “Compañía General de Coches-Automóviles Emilio de la Cuadra S. en C.”, an automotive plant in Barcelona. He intended to build several electric vehicles at that time.
Emilio de la Cuadra I Albiol was an entrepreneur and a lieutenant borned in Sueca, Valencia Spain in 1859. He built an hydroelectric in Lérida, Spain and founded the “Compañía General de Coches-Automóviles Emilio de la Cuadra S. en C.”, an automotive plant in Barcelona. He intended to build a car, a bus and a truck, all of them electric but none of them succeeded. Later on, he gave up the electric vehicles and used internal combustion engines for his models. In 1901 the company had to be closed and Emilio de la Cuadra turned back to the Spanish army. He died in 1930.
