Rolls, Charles Stewart (1877 - 1910)


 
Founder

Charles Stewart Rolls was a british motorist, aviator, and automobile manufacturer who was one of the founders of the Rolls-Royce Ltd. Automobile company with Henry Royce. Charles Rolls died in a flying accident, the first British pilot to do so.

1906 he and Henry Royce founded Rolls-Royce Ltd. Royce & Co.
* 1910 He is the first aviator to fly across the English Channel and back nonstop
† 12.07.1910 Bournemouth died
