Dallery, Charles (1754 - 1835)


 
Inventor, designer

Charles Dalley, french, was the son of an organ builder, he constructed and developed organs, harpsichords and other musical instruments. He also made jewellery, constructed a steam powered road vehicle and designed and built other steam engines. In France he is credited with the invention of marine screw propulsion and the tubular steam boiler.
