French inventor and physicist.

Émile ALLUARD is a French physicist who invented a condensation hygrometer. He was the
founder of the meteorological observatory of the Puy-de-Dome. Since 1872, he was the responsible of the construction of the meteorological observatory at the top of the Puy-de-Dôme which it was the first European mountain station.
