French Polytechnique and inventor.
French aeronautic engineer and inventor of the anemometer which bears his name. In September 1912, Captain Albert Étévé was promoted to chief of aerospace center of Saint-Cyr-School: aviation and ballooning are grouped under his commandement. He then equip the speedometer on all aircraft. He was appointed as general inspector of aeronautics in 1935 and he was responsible to organize the air bases defense in 1939. ETEVE was assigned to ballooning in 1906, where he obtained his free balloon pilot license in 1907. Promoted to captain in 1908 for acts of War in Morocco.he joined the Chalais-Meudon's laboratory : he was licensed of an airship license. in February 1910 on the Wright biplane delivered to the army and which he adapted an automatic stabilizer of his own invention. He continued to improve flight safety. He created in 1911 a speedometer "floor", allowed in military aircraft before the Badin's anemometer. In 1925, he joined the aeronautics engineers group at its creation. Inspector General in aeronautics in 1935, he led technical investigations on equipment in service. from 1936 to 1937, he undertook an air armament mission, where he brought some improvements in 1915 : gun turrets. the "ETEVE'system" equipped the French and allies planes during the First World War. For his career as a pilot and engineer, ETEVE belong to the generation of the great pioneers of aerospace servant of the state.
