Salmoiraghi Angelo was captain of industry in the period of 1870-1920 by carrying out an intense activity for teaching, research, and design in several fields of mechanical engineering, but with specific interests on systems for optical instruments. He was a personality of reference in his time within national frames because of a recognized reputation of his works of industry manager that still today are considered of fundamental importance in systems for optical instrument.
