MI-VAL was founded in 1950 in Gardone Val Trompia by Ettore Minganti and other partners, including the fabbrica D'Armi Pietro Beretta (initially the brand means MInganti VALtrompia, later Italian Engineering VALtrompia). MI-VAL motorcycles were among the most common in 50s. Famous is also the "Mivalino", a three-wheeled cab built under licence from Messerschmitt. Minganti's death and the motorcycle sector crisis brought the MI-VAL to abandon progressively the production of motorcycles. The company entered more into the sphere Beretta, and then began to share the production gunsmith as well as machine tools.
