Benini, Pasquale (1781 - 1856)


 
Founder

Pasquale Benini was an Italian entrepreneur and industrialist. After a start as a pharmacist, he founded a factory for the manufacture ofstraw hats. After moving to Florence tries out the ability to manufacture and repair of machines and tools to make straw hats, and the potential that the market offers with regard to objects of second cast iron melting. In a few years, becomes convinced that the industry deserves even more important investments, so the 21 January 1842 he founded "Fonderia di ferro di seconda fusione fuori la Porta S.Frediano presso il Pignone"
