Graham, George (1673 - 1751)

George Graham is credited with inventing several design improvements to the pendulum clock,and also for inventing the mercury pendulum. However his greatest innovation was the invention of the Graham dead-beat escapement. Graham produced instruments for the Royal Greenwich Observatory. He also made astronomical devices for the French Academy of Sciences.
