Spanish entrepreneur, engineer and politician.
Josep María Cornet i Mas obtained a degree in engineering at the Industrial Engineering School of Barcelona. He worked on the design and construction of railroad bridges and later in market projects such as the Born and the Sant Antoni markets in Barcelona. He also invented a machine to stamp the teeth of bevel gears. His last years as engineer were dedicated to the construction of land and sea machinery.
