This collection consists of 47 models that are permanently installed in lighted glass cases in the building of the professorship, accessible to students, staff or visitors. Each model which is driven by an electric motor can be set into motion by a pushbutton.

For some models different settings are available via additional engines.

The demonstration models were designed under the direction of professor Volmer between 1963 and 1974 and then built in the faculty's own workshop. All models are in very good condition and fully operative.
