deflection reduces the cross section of liq u id resistance 2, filling
the lower part of the pickup. Used for the liq u id resistance
is a solution of lead nitrate. V ariations in the resistance of the
p ickup change the current w hich, in turn, characterizes a change
in the force being measured.
