The Cornet Conveyor shown in Fig. 150 differs materially from the foregoing. It is used in connection with coal handling plants for loading and at the same time sifting coal. In this case the material to be conveyed is carried not on iron plates, but on a grating of round iron bars which are attached at both ends to the two driving chains.
