The lengths of the links comply with the conditions: A͞C=a, A͞K-K͞C=b and K͞C=K͞D=(a-b)/2. Link 1, rotating about fixed axis A, is connected by turning pairs K and C to link 5 and slider 3. Link 5 is connected by turning pair D to slider 2. Sliders 2 and 3 move along bar d of slider 4. Bar d is perpendicular to axis Ax along which slider 4 moves in fixed guides p-p. When link 1 rotates, point D describes an ellipse with its centre at point A and with the equation x²/a²+y²/b²=1.
