Slotted link 2 hascircular guiding slot a-a of radius DC and with its centre at point C. Link 2 moves along slider 3 which rotates about fixed axis D. When slider 1 moves around slot b-b of link 4, slotted link 2 has a complex motion and slider 3 rotates about axis D. The mechanism is equivalent to four-bar drag-link mechanism ABCD in which A͞B and C͞D are cranks and B͞C is the connecting rod.
