FOUR-BAR CIRCULAR-SLOTTED-LINK MECHANISM

The lengths of the links comply with the conditions: A͞B+B͞C>D͞C+A͞D and A͞D<A͞B<D͞C<B͞C. Slider 1 moves along fixed annular guiding slot b-b of radius A͞B and with its centre at point A. Slotted link 2 hascircular guiding slot a-a of radius DC and with its centre at point C. Link 2 moves along slider 3 which rotates about fixed axis D. When slider 1 moves around slot b-b of link 4, slotted link 2 has a complex motion and slider 3 rotates about axis D. The mechanism is equivalent to four-bar drag-link mechanism ABCD in which A͞B and C͞D are cranks and B͞C is the connecting rod.
