The lengths of the links comply with the conditions: G͞D=L͞H=M͞D=N͞H, D͞H=M͞N=G͞L, A͞B=D͞E=E͞F=H͞K, B͞E=A͞D=F͞K=E͞H and B͞E=(1+sqrt(2))A͞B. • Figures GDHL and MPHN are parallel-crank linkages; figures ABED and EFKH are crossed-crank linkages. Link 2 turns about fixed axis G and is connected by turning pairs A and P to link 3 and to links 9 and 5. Link 4 is connected by turning pairs B, E and F to links 3, 5 and 6. Link 8 turns about fixed axis L and is connected by turning pairs H to links 5 and 7. Link 7 is connected by turning pairs N and K to links 1 and 6. Link 9 is connected by turning pair M to link 1. When link 2 turns about axis G, link 1 has rectilinear translation in the direction coinciding with line GL.
