The lengths of the links comply with the conditions: F͞B=G͞D=a, F͞G=B͞D=sqrt(2)a=b, A͞C=C͞K=K͞E=E͞A=m and O͞E=O͞C=n. Figure ACKE is a rhombus linkage and figure FBDG is a crossed-crank linkage. Links 1 and 2 turn about fixed axes G and F. Links 3 and 4 turn about fixed axis 0. When link 1 turns about axis G, point K describes a hyperbola with the equation (x²)/((m²-n²)/(a²))-(y²)/((m²-n²)/(b²-a²))=1.
