DOBROVOLSKY LINK-GEAR ELLIPSOGRAPH

The lengths of the links comply with the conditions: A͞D=D͞E=m, A͞B=B͞C=n and A͞D:A͞B=D͞A:B͞D=k. Link 1, rotating about fixed axis G, is connected by turning pair C to slider 3 which moves along bar f of slider 4. Slider 4 moves along fixed guides t-t whose axis a-a is parallel to axis Ox. Link 5 is connected by turning pairs A and D to links 4 and 6. Link 6 is connected by turning pair E to slider 2 which moves along bar f of slider 4. When link 1 rotates, point E describes ellipse q-q whose equat ion is k²x²+y²-2kdy-k²(R²-d²)=0 where R Is the radius of the circle described by point C of link 1 . Referred to the principal coordinate axes, the equation of ellipse q-q is x²/R²+y²/(k²R²)=1.
