PLANETARY GEARING MECHANISM FOR SPINNING ROPE

Carrier 4 rotates about fixed axis A and is connected by turning pairs B and C to planet gears 2 and 3. One planet gear 2 meshes with a gear 3 and with fixed gear 1. Each of the other gears 2 meshes with two adjacent gears 3. Carrier 4 is designed as a polygon with equal sides (a hexagon in the given case). The length of each side is equal to distance A͞C. Thus the apexes of the hexagon lie on a circle of diameter D=2A͞C. Gears 1 and 3 have the same number of teeth. Thus all points of gears 3 have circular translational motion at the velocity of point C of carrier 4.
