Crank 1 rotates about fixed axis A and is connected by turning pairs B to four connecting rods 4 which, in turn, are connected by turning pairs C to bent levers 5. Levers 5 turn about fixed axes D and are connected by turning pairs E to pawls 2 which engage the teeth of internal ratchet wheel 3 and are held in contact with them by springs 6. When crank 1 rotates about axis A, pawls 2 impart intermittent clockwise motion to ratchet wheel 3, also about axis A.
