LEVER-TYPE MECHANISM OF A BAND BRAKE

Brake band 3 is pivoted at point A, on the axis of revolution of lever 1, and a point B of lever 1. Weight 4 can be shifted and clamped along the axis of lever 1. Drum 2 is braked by turning lever 1 clockwise about fixed axis A.
