VANE-TYPE AIR BLOWER MECHANISM WITH DISTRIBUTOR ROTORS

Click to enlargeClick to enlarge Description

Vane 1 rotates about fixed axis A. Two identical distributor rotors, 2 and 3, rotate about fixed axes B and C, and have circular recesses d. Upon rotation of vane 1, air is continuously moved in the direction of arrows a and b. Rotors 2 and 3 serve to separate the suction and discharge chambers. Vane 1 and rotors 2 and 3 are driven by meshing gears with the transmission ratios i₁₂=ω₁/ω₂=n₁/n₂=1/2 and i₂₃=ω₂/ω₃=n₂/n₃=-1 where ω₁, ω₂, ω₃, n₁, n₂ and n₃ are the angular velocities and speeds of vane 1 and rotors 2 and 3.
