Figure of a mechanism from "Tàixī shuǐfǎ", Hydraulic machinery of the West. manuscript with figures conserved now in Rome, in the Archive of the Company of Jesus. The work is a translaton made by Sabatino de Ursis of a book of Agostino Ramelli on hydraulic mechanisms. The book of De Ursis was translated into Chinese and published by Xú Guāngqĭ.
