Photo of the engineering degree of Elia Ovazza, who was the first professor of Mechanics of machinery in Palermo with interests also on machines and machine design. He founded the Institute Mechanics of machinery by starting a research activity which is persistent today. He taught also in Naples and he published several publications of relevant interests
