Structure of mechanism

Function Two articulated metal plates are actuated by a worm screw with a crank. Turning in one direction raises the upper platform, and turning in the other direction lowers it.

Application

Examples of application This elevator support is common in chemistry labs. It is generally found on work benches and enables apparatus to be raised to the desired height. It is no longer in use in the Cheese Research lab, principally because the research current conducted in the unit does not require the type of apparatus used in chemistry.
