Function |
The Safety fastening consists of a sheet bearing shoe, mounted swivel on the ski's front and provided at the bottom with detachable ski binding means. It allows the user to take two different positions: In a up position, the swivel sheet is released from the ski in the back to allow the pivoting of the shoe regarding the ski. This allows to make possible a distance of the user's heel from the ski, to exercise an optimal effort of pushing. In the down position, the swivel sheet is fastened to the ski, to allow skiing according to the alpine ski down's technics and absorbing torsion efforts between the shoe and the ski during descent's phases. The Safety fastening is light, space-saving and its handling is easy. Moreover, its working is particularly secure and undesired passage from "ski" position to "climb" position is excluded. Finally, the user have to put in a reduced effort for this passage. |
