Structure of mechanism

Function This is a manual calculating machine with a printer and a keyboard reduced to 10 keys, including zero. It uses the Pascal system to perform basic operations. The key layout is unusual, consisting of two rows, 24579 and 13068. It was not until 1914 and Oscar J. Sundstrand that keys were laid out as they are today: 789/456/123, with 0 at the bottom. Printing is performed using the crank on the right, which inputs the numbers and performs the operation. This is the first machine to combine a printer and a reduced keyboard. It features three technical innovations: visualization of the calculation, conservation of a hard copy of the process, and the comfort of a reduced keyboard.
