Structure of mechanism

Function The crosshead 3, which moves in the crosshead guide ‘a’ of the slide 4, articulates in the point D on the connecting rod 2 of the crosshead mechanism and crank ABC. When the crank 1 turns, the point D of the connecting rod 2 turns as a connecting rod. If the point E is inside the domain bounded by the curve of connecting rod of the point D, the slide makes a complete turn around the fixed axis E. If this condition is not filled, the slide 4 makes only a movement of oscillation around the axis E.
