Danti, Egnazio (real name Carlo Pellegrino) (1536 - 1586)


 
Teacher, inventor

Egnazio Danti, mathematician, cosmographer and architect, was also interested in descriptive geometry. He was taught by his grandfather Pier Vincenzo to build various mechanical devices. During the early years of his youth he worked at the goldsmith's shop of his father, learning the mechanics and how to build different types of instruments that later described in his works.

1583 he became bishop of Alatri
