Portrait of Quintino Sella, statesman and engineer, addressed his attention to the Theoretical and Morphological Crystallography but also to the fields of Technical Drawing.
First in Italy to introduce the method of axonometric projections, he was concerned with geometrical principles of crystallography. Inventor of electromagnetic grading to separate the copper from magnetite crystals and of a device for measuring friction. He organized and promoted important cultural and scientific initiatives for the benefit of scientific research by introducing international conferences.
