Petuya Arcocha, Victor (1970 - )

Associate Professor of Mechanical Engineering of the UPV/EHU.

Víctor Petuya received the MSc in Mechanical Engineering from the Faculty of Engineering of Bilbao, University of the Basque Country (UPV/EHU), Spain, in 1995, and the PhD degree in Mechanical Engineering from the same University, in 2003. From 1995 to 1998 he was involved as design and analysis engineer of a private engineering firm in several aerospace projects. He is Associate Professor in the Department of Mechanical Engineering at the Faculty of Engineering of Bilbao, University of the Basque Country (UPV/EHU). His research works deal with advanced mechanical design and analysis, computational kinematics of planar and spatial mechanisms, particularly parallel manipulators, and biokinematics.

1998 Bilbao He started working at the University of the Basque Country (UPV/EHU).
2003 Bilbao He obtained a Ph.D. in Mechanical Engineering from the University of the Basque Country (UPV/EHU).
2010 - 2013 Bilbao He worked as lead researcher of the University of the Basque Country team in the thinkMOTION European Project.
