Materials used in the Boeing 77 of 2003 and in the 787 Dreamliner

Description

This figure shows the evolution of the materials used in two consescutive airplanes designed by Boeing. It can be seen that the use of composite materials has increased a 50% while the use of titanium and specially aluminum has decreased up to five times.
