Description
Portrait of Bernardo Tanucci who was a statesman of the Kingdom of the Two Sicilies of Tuscan origin. He arrived at Naples in the train of first King of the dynasty of the Borbone of Naples: King Carlo di Borbone. As statesman he affirmed the superiority of the Laical State on the Church and worked to abolish the privileges of the nobles and of the clergy. As far as this last aspect, he established an agreement with the Papacy. |
