Ferguson, Eugene S. (1916 - 2004)

American professor of history of technology

Originally trained and worked as an engineer, Ferguson switched after the World War II to the history of technology. He served as curator of collections, as a lecturer and professor of technology history and as president of the U.S. association "Society for the History of Technology." He was particularly known by the member for whom he theory of the role of nonverbal thinking in engineering.
